On the reverse lies a delicate honeycomb-patterned openwork.

This is a traditional technique known as ajouré (openwork),
designed to minimise the contact between metal and gemstone,
while allowing light to pass through from behind
and enhance the stone’s natural brilliance.

In addition, the reverse is carefully given a mirror polish.
This reflective surface creates a subtle mirror effect,
allowing the gemstone to shine with an even clearer, more refined glow.

The finishing process is painstaking and remarkably detailed.
Each surface is patiently polished by hand, using a single cotton thread.
It requires many times longer than the finishing of the front
before the work is finally complete.

Although the process demands considerable time and care,
the difference in beauty and refinement is unmistakable.

By devoting such meticulous attention to each creation,
we uphold the spirit of craftsmanship
that honours even the unseen.
